Three Years Running: The American Glass Company Named Best in Glass
For The American Glass Company, being named a 2026 Best of South Carolina Winner in the Glass Providers category for the third consecutive year is more than an award. It is recognition of a reputation built one customer, one project, and one relationship at a time.
Based in Spartanburg, The American Glass Company serves homeowners, contractors, businesses, and commercial clients throughout Upstate South Carolina and the surrounding areas. From custom shower enclosures and mirrors to replacement glass, commercial entrances, storefront systems, and larger glazing projects, the company has built its name on quality craftsmanship, dependable service, and doing the job right.
Glass is also more than a business for owner Altaf Kapasi. The American Glass Company carries forward a third-generation family tradition in the glass industry. That experience has shaped the way the company operates today: taking pride in the details, standing behind the work, treating customers fairly, and never sacrificing quality simply to finish a job faster.
As the company has grown, so has the scope of its work. What has remained consistent is the personal accountability behind every project. Whether the team is working in a homeowner’s bathroom, installing a new commercial storefront, or completing glass and entrance systems on a jobsite, the expectation is the same: professional communication, careful workmanship, and a finished product everyone involved can be proud of.
That commitment extends beyond the installation itself. The American Glass Company believes a strong local business should build lasting relationships with its customers, employees, contractors, suppliers, and the community it serves. Repeat customers and referrals have played an important role in the company’s growth, and earning that trust continues to matter more than simply completing the next job.
