Fairforest 5K
Whether you’re a speedy pro, a casual jogger, or just want to stroll with your furry friend, this race through beautiful Croft State Park welcomes all. Starting at 10 AM, you’ll enjoy scenic trails, friendly competition, and awesome prizes—all while supporting trail improvements. With registration at $35 (including park admission), make sure to sign up before June 27 because there’s no same-day registration!
Loggerhead Sea Turtle Walks
Dive into a night adventure like no other at Edisto Beach State Park’s exclusive sea turtle night walks! Guided by experts, you’ll sneak a peek at nesting sea turtles under the stars—how cool is that? Just a heads-up: these walks are a bit of a trek and last a while, so they’re best for kids 10 and up (and grown-ups too!). Happening every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday through July 31, spots fill up fast, so grab your ticket early and get ready for a magical evening with nature!
Summer Square Dancing
Ready to kick off your weekends with a foot-stomping, heart-pumping blast of old-fashioned fun? Every Friday through July 25th—and again over Labor Day Weekend—join the lively sounds of the Dixie Bluegrass Boys and dance the night away under the stars with classic square dancing at Oconee State Park. Whether you’re a pro or a total newbie, everyone’s invited to bring their best moves (and comfy shoes!) to The Barn. Bring the family, bring your smiles, and make some magical summer memories!
Edisto River Tubing
Ready to float your worries away? Givhans Ferry State Park has partnered with Edisto River Adventures to bring you a one-of-a-kind summer experience. Book a tubing adventure and drift down the stunning Edisto River. After your relaxing float, dive into the fun at the exclusive sandbar, where you can spike a volleyball, toss some cornhole, or chill in our shaded cabana swings. With picnic tables, food trucks on weekends, and plenty of sunshine, it’s the ultimate recipe for a perfect day of river fun and good vibes!
