Sparkle, Shine, & A Little Prom Magic!
Prom season has a way of sneaking up on you. One minute it’s winter formals and group chats about themes, and the next it’s a full scramble for dresses, shoes, and corsages. That’s when Charleston’s fairy godmother steps in to save the day! On February 28, the North Charleston Dream Center will open its doors for Cinderella Day, a free community event that helps local teens get prom-ready without the stress on their wallets or their families.
Part boutique pop-up and part neighborhood party, this event gives local teens everything they need for prom without the price tag that usually comes with it. Dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories line the space, all donated by neighbors, shops, and supporters who want every student to walk into prom feeling proud. Volunteers step in as stylists and personal shoppers, helping each guest find a look that feels like their own. Hair and makeup stations keep the energy high while music and food make the morning feel closer to a festival than a fitting room.
