At Tao of Physical Therapy, founder Gilbert Tam helps patients restore that balance through individualized care delivered in a private, one-on-one setting where time and attention aren't divided between multiple patients.
Instead of rushing from symptom to symptom, Gilbert works with patients to understand how the body functions as a complete system. He’s committed to providing “Balance to the Human System for Optimal Function.” As a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist, he has extensive knowledge and experience in treating conditions including Parkinson's disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, vertigo, dizziness, and balance issues. He also has a passion for assessing and treating people with complex conditions such as fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. He finds joy in restoring hope for individuals who have tried other approaches and treatments.
His practice also incorporates Functional Manual Therapy, dry needling, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Patients aren't expected to sit back and watch the process happen. They're involved in it, learning skills and strategies that help them continue making progress long after they leave the office.
