Greenville, Meet Your Market!
You know that feeling when the weekend’s wide open and you actually get up early enough to enjoy it? Welcome to peak Greenville living! The TD Saturday Market is finally back for the 2025 season—yes, really! Now, downtown’s Main Street is officially the place to be on Saturday mornings. You’ll find this cheery market packed with fresh strawberries, handmade soaps, flower bouquets the size of your head, and, yes, a mimosa (or three!) if that’s your vibe.
Since 2003, the market’s grown into Greenville’s weekend scene. It sprouted from a handful of vendors into the bustling, 75+ stand stronghold of local goodness it is today. With this kind of history and community, the TD Saturday Market is much more than just a place to shop. It’s where neighbors, brunch squads, and stroller-pushing parents all come together to kick off the weekend right!
Fresh Roots, Big Blooms
Greenville’s farmers’ market roots run deeper than a 100-year-old fig tree. Its original market dated back to the 1920s, held on Court Street, until it faded into history along with Model Ts, flapper dresses, and a downtown that looked very different from the one you know today. It wasn’t until 2003 that the market made its comeback—small but mighty—planting new roots just as Main Street was beginning its own renaissance.
Today, it’s where live music drifts, biscuits bake, and strawberries sweeten the breeze. And speaking of which… Right now is peak strawberry season, and this harvest goes fast!
Here’s why the TD Saturday Market hits different:
- Local is the law: Every food item has to come from within 100 miles. So when you bite into that fruit (or vegetable!), it’s pure Upstate flavor!
- Vendors you’ll recognize: Mainstays like Beechwood Farms, The Happy Berry, and Colonial Milling are back again, bringing you the good stuff week after week.
- Big brunch energy: Thanks to the Leaf Filter Market Bistro, you can now sip “Picnic Brunch” bellinis, mimosas, or Bloody Marys as you shop—just grab a $1 wristband once you get downtown! You’ll want to mosey on over to the corner at Main St + McBee Ave to get the fun started (responsibly!).
Soak It In (and Sip a Little Too)
Sure, you could spend Saturday running errands. Or you could wander Main Street with a bouquet in one hand and a mimosa in the other, soaking up live music, chef demos, and the kind of small-town-meets-big-energy magic that only Greenville can pull off.
