Furniture, Built Around You
Finding the right furniture shouldn’t mean settling for whatever happens to be on a showroom floor. At J&K Home Furnishings, the experience is built around the customer, from custom furniture and complimentary interior design services to curated in-stock pieces ready for the home. With seven South Carolina showrooms serving the Grand Strand and Lowcountry, J&K has built its reputation around furniture designed for the way people actually live.
Custom furniture is at the heart of the business. Customers can personalize seating depth, cushion firmness, arm and leg styles, fabrics, performance materials, finishes and other details to suit their home and lifestyle. Approximately 80 percent of J&K’s furniture is American-made or custom-crafted by domestic manufacturers. The company is also the exclusive retailer of Bassett Furniture in the Myrtle Beach and Charleston markets, offering access to custom upholstered furniture, dining and bedroom pieces in a wide range of styles, fabrics and finishes. Many custom orders can be completed in approximately 30 days, avoiding the months-long wait often associated with made-to-order furniture.
The experience extends beyond the furniture itself. In-store interior designers provide complimentary assistance with furniture, fabrics, colors, finishes, rugs, accessories and custom window treatments, with in-home consultations available for larger projects. Each showroom also includes Mattress ZZZs, where sleep specialists help customers choose mattresses, adjustable bases and pillows based on their individual needs.
That philosophy is summed up in J&K’s promise: “Custom Furniture Designed For You.” Rather than asking customers to design their homes around limited choices, J&K helps create furniture and rooms around how they want to live. That commitment to customization, American-made craftsmanship, design expertise, faster custom-order capabilities and personalized service helped earn J&K Home Furnishings a 2026 Best of South Carolina Award.
