Craft Brews & Cool Critters
Ever wondered what the zoo is like after hours? Get your beer fix and take a walk on the wild side at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden’s returning Brew at the Zoo event!
Now in its 20th roaring year, this beloved tradition offers guests 21 and older a unique chance to explore the zoo in a whole new light—literally! Set against a stunning safari backdrop, this unforgettable evening of craft beer, live music, and unique wildlife promises to be memorable for beer enthusiasts and animal lovers alike. Think happy hour meets safari—no passport needed!
The fun kicks off at 7 PM on August 1, and the calendar is stacked with a full slate of wild activities that’ll have you humming “Welcome to the Jungle.” Sample a variety of over 100 local and craft brews, enjoy performances from local artists, and encounter some of the zoo’s spectacular residents. If you’ve never had a beer while watching a giraffe wander by, now’s your chance.
With admission, you’ll also get a souvenir tasting glass and the chance to hear conservation tales straight from Riverbanks Zoo & Garden’s animal ambassadors. And don’t worry about leaving hungry—concessions areas will be open, serving a variety of quick bites and non-alcoholic drinks to keep the party going all night long.
Beyond the fun, it’s worth noting that Brew at the Zoo supports something bigger: all proceeds support the care and conservation of the animals and plants at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden and beyond. So whether you’re in it for the hops or the habitats, you can sip happy knowing that every drink does a little good.
Tickets are $80 for the general public and $70 for Riverbanks members—and they sell out fast—so be sure to grab them in advance. This is one wild night you won’t want to miss!
