Aces in Year One

Most sports parents know the drill: one kid wants to “try volleyball,” and suddenly the family calendar looks like it was attacked by highlighters. Summerville Volleyball Club gives that energy a place to land, with training that helps young athletes move from backyard bumping to real court confidence. The club’s rally cry, #FEARTHEFIN, fits a program that came out swinging in its very first year.

Since opening on June 1, 2026, Summerville Volleyball Club has built a youth volleyball home for players who want instruction, competition, and room to grow. Its offerings include youth volleyball clinics, youth small group lessons, private volleyball lessons, volleyball camps, open gyms, and prospect clinics. That range matters because not every athlete needs the same next step. Some need reps. Some need confidence. Some need a coach to fix footwork before it becomes a personality trait. The club also made its travel team debut count. Across its first season, all four teams won at least one gold bracket tournament title, combined for a 112-54 record in eight tournaments, and each team finished with a winning record. Every team also placed in the top three at least four times and ended the season ranked in the top 40 in the Palmetto Region.

That is a lot of momentum for a club still young enough to have a first birthday cake. Summerville Volleyball Club’s 2026 Best of South Carolina Award feels earned because the results are paired with access: clinics, camps, lessons, open gyms, and prospect opportunities that serve players at different stages of the game. The club is not just collecting wins. It is building habits, teams, and a stronger volleyball pipeline for the Summerville area.
