About
🌱 Blue Sky Sunny Day Organic Farm – Our Story
Blue Sky Sunny Day Organic Farm began with a simple but powerful idea—food should be clean, honest, and grown the right way.
Our farm was started by my wife, Lilly, whose passion for health and caring for others has always been at the center of everything she does. As a registered nurse and former educator, Lilly saw firsthand how what we eat directly impacts how we feel. She believed there had to be a better way to nourish families—starting with truly clean, chemical-free food.
In 2019, that belief became reality when we founded our farm in Walterboro, South Carolina.
From the beginning, our mission has been clear: grow certified organic vegetables and raise animals with integrity—without shortcuts, without chemicals, and always with respect for the land and the families we serve.
Today, we are proud to be one of the few USDA certified organic farms in South Carolina, and also certified by the Real Organic Project. Every vegetable we harvest is grown in certified organic soil, and our chickens are raised on certified organic pasture, fed certified organic feed, and cared for the way nature intended.
But what matters most to us isn’t just how the food is grown—it’s who we grow it for.
Our customers are families—many with young children—who are trying to put healthy, trustworthy food on the dinner table. They want to know where their food comes from, how it was raised, and that it’s truly good for them. We hear it every week: “We can taste the difference.” And more importantly, “We feel better.”
That’s why we built our weekly order program—to make it simple and flexible for families to access real food. No subscriptions, no pressure—just fresh, certified organic food available each week, picked from our fields or sourced from trusted local farms who share our values.
We are deeply grateful to the Summerville Farmers Market and the communities we serve across the Lowcountry. Over the past year, we’ve seen incredible growth—not just in our farm, but in the number of families choosing to eat healthier and support local agriculture.
Winning “Best of South Carolina” would be an honor—but more than that, it would be a recognition of something bigger than us.
It would be a recognition that people care about where their food comes from.
That farming the right way matters.
And that small, local farms can make a real difference in the health of their communities.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just about a farm.
It’s about feeding families, building trust, and doing things the right way—every single day.
