About

Country music stars ALABAMA had a desire to return to their musical roots in Myrtle Beach where they honed their impressive three-part harmonies while playing for tips at The Bowery, a local nightclub. ALABAMA wanted to bring its unique perspective to the rising entertainment industry on the Grand Strand and the Alabama Theatre was born.

The 1993 opening of the Alabama Theatre was covered by major media including CBS Morning Show, NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, CMT, TNN, and countless national and regional publications. Alabama Theatre was even a question on the popular game show Jeopardy. Turn the page to 2026 and the Alabama Theatre remains at the forefront of entertainment venues on the East Coast.

Since its opening just a few seasons ago, Alabama Theatre's nightly live production, ICONIC, has made a huge splash along the Grand Strand, wowing audiences made up of kids, teens, adults and grandparents who have continued to rave about ICONIC and the production that touches on so many musical genres, from classic rock to country to pop to Broadway. ICONIC is a one-of-a-kind journey through past and present iconic music, is an outstanding experience for all ages and is a must-see in Myrtle Beach entertainment. This family-friendly production is live multiple nights a week at 7pm and runs until the end of October. After which the Alabama Theatre’s featured holiday production, The South’s Grandest Christmas Show, returns during November and December with select matinees.

Sprinkled throughout the year is the Guest Artist Concert Series showcasing top touring acts from across the country such as Josh Turner, Leanne Morgan, Jay Leno, Chris Janson, Lee Greenwood, Larry the Cable Guy, The Oak Ridge Boys, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Jeff Foxworthy, Little River Band, Jefferson Starship, the Temptations and the Four Tops, Melissa Etheridge, Henry Cho, Trace Adkins, Parmalee, Ann Wilson, The Bronx Wanderers, Firefall and The Isaacs.
