Ezra Lawson Foundation

We are a non-profit organization that provides high school seniors with college scholarships in honor of the late Ezra Lawson. Our annual fundraiser is a summer 3v3 basketball tournament.

Ezra Lawson was a remarkable son, brother, cousin, grandson, teammate, Airman, and friend. Ezra was a member of Socastee High School class of 2021. Upon graduating, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. Tragically, Ezra died in a car accident in May of 2022, less than two months after his 19th birthday.

Ezra had an unmatched love for the game of basketball! In his memory, we created an annual 3v3 summer basketball tournament held at his alma mater. This event is a special way to honor Ezra and continue his legacy. 

At our 3v3 basketball tournament, we also have a raffle for themed baskets, which promotes participating local businesses. As a nonprofit, we rely on donations from our community to help us fill the themed baskets and make this event a success! 

Proceeds from the tournament will be used to award two graduating seniors with a scholarship in the spring. We truly appreciate all of the help and support from each player, volunteer, attendee, and friend.
