Dr. Johnson loves the feeling of getting to know a dental patient and then helping them achieve their dental goals. He deeply enjoys seeing the relief on someone’s face once he has gotten them out of pain or seeing the excitement a dental patient has when they look at their new smile in the mirror for the first time. Dr. Johnson actually grew up with a dentist for a dad. He knew from an early age that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps – in fact, in elementary school, he wrote that he wanted to become a dentist, too! Today, he could not be happier to have made that long-ago goal a reality. After completing his undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston, Dr. Johnson pursued his dental doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. He has also undergone advanced training in dental implant surgery through the Engel Implant Institute. Dr. Johnson was invited to and now serves as a Clinical Instructor there and teaches other dentists how to place implants. Today, he is currently a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and LVI Global Education. Away from work, Dr. Johnson has a wonderful wife named Jennifer and two Miniature Dachshunds, Duggie and Daika. He is also very close with his parents and older brother. In his spare time, you can usually find him on the ocean! He loves fishing, boating, and looking for shark teeth on the beach. He also works out at the gym as often as possible.
