Kindermusik of Charleston

Kindermusik of Charleston is a local early childhood music education program that offers structured, play-based music classes for babies, toddlers, and young children. Kindermusik or Charleston has been serving the Lowcountry for 40 years and is beyond your average “mommy and me” class. 

It uses the Kindermusik curriculum, which is designed to support early development through music, movement, and interactive activities. Classes are typically divided by age group (from newborns through age 7 years) and involves both children and caregivers participating together.

Key features include

• Singing, dancing, and instrument play to build musical awareness and early childhood development skills
• Parent-child bonding activities, especially for infants and toddlers
• Development of motor skills, language, listening, and social skills through music
• Age-specific programs that grow with the child (such as infant/toddler classes and preschool-level music learning)

All of the classes are instructed by teachers with music therapy, music education, childhood education and music performance training.
