The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience (TLE) was founded in 2002 with a mission to make a positive difference in the lives of children, their families, and the communities we serve. Today, TLE operates over 350 locations across the United States and 2 in the United Kingdom, with one more opening soon. Our Mount Pleasant location, which opened on February 1st, 2023, brings our total to 5 centers across North and South Carolina. We are proud to be part of a 6-school franchise that provides education to children from 6 weeks to 12 years old while fostering happiness every step of the way.

At The Learning Experience, we believe in creating an environment where children can learn, play, and grow while forming lasting friendships. This is achieved through our developmentally appropriate curriculum, brought to life by our cast of characters, led by Bubbles the Elephant. These characters make learning fun and help children build connections, reinforcing what they are learning. Each month, we highlight a different character through our monthly theme and branded enrichment activities like Little Musicians, Little Engineers, and Little Athletes.

Our theme for April is “Let’s Grant Wishes,” where children will learn about the benefits of giving, donating, and sharing with others. We are proud to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation each year to help make dreams come true for families with sick or terminally ill children. This year, our Mount Pleasant location raised over $5,000, contributing to The Learning Experience’s collective total of over $2 million raised. This goal was achieved through a variety of events for our families and the community, including a petting zoo where children had the opportunity to hold a baby kangaroo and pet a camel, as well as train rides with Bubbles the Elephant and a DJ.

In recognition of our dedication to providing high-quality care and education, we are also proud to be an ABC Quality-certified facility. ABC Quality is a statewide program that ensures early childhood education centers meet rigorous standards for health, safety, and educational practices. Our certification reflects our commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all children in our care.

In March, we were honored to be awarded the title of "Cool School" of Charleston, marking a significant milestone for both our school and the community.
