Founded originally in 1976 as the MLS of Hilton Head Island, the company relaunched as REsides in 2021 with a revolutionary equity-ownership model that allows brokers and real estate professionals to become shareholders in the MLS. 

REsides operates as a privately held corporation and is the first MLS in the United States to offer a unique equity ownership opportunity to individuals both within and outside the real estate industry. The company serves real estate professionals primarily across South Carolina and Georgia, facilitating over $4 billion in annual real estate transactions.
