About

A car museum in your own backyard! The Ultimate Driving Museum is located in Greer, SC across the street from the BMW Factory. We are a division of the BMW CCA Foundation, a 501(c)3 non profit. Our passion is BMW everything! Our love for BMW has drawn us to collecting and preserving BMW history via our Library and Archives.

The Ultimate Driving Museum showcases different archive items within the exhibits that change annually. This allows us to show you not just a garage full of cars, but also showcases art on the walls, exhibit specific memorabilia, model cars, and incredible stories about the exhibit vehicles and their owners as well.

The 2026 exhibit will be the tenth major exhibit produced by The Ultimate Driving Museum. This year, The BMW M3: 40 Years of Evolution exhibit will run from May 15, 2026 through January 16, 2027. The BMW M3 has consistently set the benchmark for performance and remains one of the most iconic and successful sports cars in automotive history.  The BMW M3 isn’t just a sports car—it’s automotive legend, developed by BMW’s in-house motorsport division, the M3’s roots are pure racing, starting with the iconic E30 M3 (1986–1991), a purebred racer built to satisfy the rules of homologation. This exhibit tracks the BMW M3's evolution through 40 years, starting as a rare homologation special and evolving through decades of engineering milestones to reach the cutting-edge current models. Come see the Evolution!

If you would like to know more about us, the BMW CCA Foundation' mission is "Saving Lives, Saving History". This is accomplished through its two programs, Street Survival and The Ultimate Driving Museum. The Street Survival school trains thousands of teens each year life-saving driving skills. The school operates on a national basis, and has spanned generations, from grandparents, to parents, and their children. The Museum is located in South Carolina, but hosts thousands of visitors each year from all over the world and operates the world's second largest Archives dedicated to BMW history.
