Lynches River County Park

Lynches River County Park, located on the Lynches Scenic River between Florence and Lake City, S.C., is a 676-acre park operated by Florence County Parks and Recreation. This park features a variety of habitats including towering cypress trees, sand hills, and longleaf pine communities.

Activities include canoe and kayak rentals, which launch from our handicap-accessible boat launch; hiking along historic trails, river boardwalk and a Kids in Parks TRACK Trail; geocaching, picnicking, fishing, archery, climbing wall, and a Splash Pad that is open during the summer months. Be sure to visit the Environmental Discovery Center, a LEED-certified nature center which features live animals and hands-on exhibits. While at the EDC, don’t miss the tree top canopy walk where you’ll get a birds-eye view of the park. Our 6,500+ sq. ft. Community Building accommodates groups up to 400 people and is ideal for family reunions, graduation and birthday parties, weddings and much more.
