Tattoos by Mike Boyd

First of all, thank you for taking the time to look at this page a bit and to spend a little of your time looking through some of my work, I really appreciate it.

I’ve been tattooing since 2015 in Columbia SC, and have had the great fortune to work with and meet a lot of great people in the uncountable amount of tattoos I’ve been able to do in that time. I also occasionally travel to work as a guest artist in other shops a bit further away.

Since I was able to begin tattooing  in street shops working with anyone who walked in, I have been able to develop my skills in a variety of styles and enjoy working with all kinds of folks. These days I do primarily focus my work on tattoos with the elements I enjoy seeing on skin, such as traditional Asian and American imagery done with a lot of classic influence in the approach, however I also enjoy doing the occasional realistic or neotraditional tattoo as well as anything that brings joy into someone’s life that I am able to accomplish.

As for who I am on an outside of tattoo, I am a father, partner, friend and supporter. I really enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family, as cliche as that may sound. I played guitar and yelled into microphones for a couple of bands when I was younger, and play probably a few too many video games now. I also used to skate a bit, and still love it, but these days mostly just from the sidelines, watching my son.  Honestly, I am a big nerd and spend more time than the average person probably does listening to sasquatch podcasts or reading sci-fi and fantasy novels. I listen to a ton of different music, but if you really want to get me talking, start with punk bands!
