Hi! I’m Selena, the photographer behind Selena Stoney Photography and your Charleston newborn and family photographer.

I’m a graduate of the College of Charleston (Go Cougars!) with a double major in English and Psychology—which might explain both my love of storytelling and my slight obsession with true crime podcasts.

My passion is capturing the beautiful milestones of growing families, especially that incredible first year of life. I specialize in in-studio posed newborn photography, as well as maternity, Fresh 48 hospital sessions, milestone sessions, and first birthday cake smashes. I also photograph families, children, seniors, and professional headshots, helping families document their story through every stage of life.

Those first few days with a brand new baby are truly magical, and I absolutely love preserving them for families. The tiny wrinkles, flaky skin, squishy cheeks, sleepy smiles, belly buttons, and teeny tiny fingers and toes—every little detail that makes your baby uniquely yours.

I photograph all of my newborn sessions in my cozy home studio in the Charleston area, where everything is designed to keep your baby comfortable and safe while creating timeless portraits for your family. I love when parents and siblings join the session, and I happily incorporate family and sibling photos into newborn sessions to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments of welcoming your newest little one.
