About

My name is Elisha Latimer, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I provide in-person counseling in South Carolina and secure online therapy for clients located in both South Carolina and North Carolina.

I believe therapy is a collaborative and purposeful process—one that helps you gain clarity, strengthen self-awareness, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Healing does not have to feel rushed. My role is to offer a compassionate, structured space where we can explore patterns, address emotional challenges, and develop practical tools that support long-term growth.

My approach is grounded in humanistic, trauma-informed care and integrates evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs. I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma related to relationships or family dynamics, life transitions, and ongoing stress. Together, we focus on emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, stronger communication, and rebuilding self-trust.

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Grief Educator, and I hold specialized certifications in Advanced Grief Counseling, Domestic Violence, Clinical Anxiety Treatment, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). With over 25 years of experience in the human services field, I have supported individuals and families from diverse backgrounds through complex seasons of life. Grief work is especially meaningful to me, and I am committed to helping clients navigate loss with compassion, clarity, and practical support.

New Beginnings Counseling & Consulting Services was recognized in 2025 as the Best Counseling Service in Anderson, South Carolina—an honor that reflects my commitment to ethical practice, quality care, and client-centered service.

Choosing to begin therapy takes courage. I honor the strength it takes to reach out, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward clarity, healing, and renewed purpose.
